Second Semester:

My Understanding - Image & Motion (Theme)

Every creature has certain image and Image changes with time. Where every aspect of time, shows certain motion.

I selected “Polo Forest” to show “Image & Motion” because I have observed Polo Forest very closely and the Tribal life style culture is always attracting me. As every aspect of their life is a best example to express my understanding.

My observation for Polo Forest were :-

* We can say that they are the Integral part of the Forest.
* What happening to forest and wildlife is happening to them directly or indirectly
* Now here, today’s lifestyle has affected their before time lifestyle.
* Which shows the motion of life

First semester

Title: Information center on Vulture in its natural surroundings.

I was working in the field of Environment Education before joining this programme. Environment is a vast field to study and I believe that not only reading but observations make people more aware and sensitive towards environment. Due to this reason I have selected this project for the theme image and environment in first semester.

By this project my idea is to aware people about their surroundings. For this purpose I have selected vulture, because during this time period saving vulture is a main project for naturalist and environmentalist. I want to create this information center in open area where vulture’s colonies are located, so people can get information about vulture and also get a chance to see or observe them in their natural habitat. If we create this type of information center there are several benefits such as decrease in the pollution of soil and protection of trees and forests. This will also help saving vultures, declared Grade 1 in the categories of the endangered species by the Government of India.

Vulture is just one example for such conservational concepts but we can make this type of information centers for other rare and endangered species, which are found in human inhabited areas.
